Shipping Info

We currently ship within 2 business days of receiving your order.

All orders are shipped via USPS and include tracking information.

Once your package leaves Dead Threads HQ and tracking begins, it’s officially out of my hands. If you're worried about porch pirates or unreliable delivery, you can always select signature required at checkout.

Shipping is a very real expense, we’re not Amazon over here. I charge based on actual weight, not padded flat rates, which means each listing takes a smidge more of my time. But it keeps things fair and accurate, and that matters to me.

Occasional free shipping specials will be shipped using the carrier and method of my choice.

Local Delivery

LOCAL DELIVERY IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

I hope to start it back up in April with some clearer boundaries.

Returns & Exchanges

Because Dead Threads offers secondhand goods, I do not accept returns or exchanges unless I have made an error in the listing.

I make every effort to provide accurate, detailed photos and descriptions so you know exactly what you're getting. If you have any questions or need clarification before purchase, don’t hesitate to reach out before you order via the contact form or email.

Product Condition

Most items in the shop are secondhand or warehouse deadstock, they’ve lived a life before landing here. I inspect everything carefully, but signs of age, wear, or storage may still be present.

Please read descriptions thoroughly and look closely at the photos. Minor imperfections (like faint marks, fraying edges, or fold lines) are typical for vintage and secondhand goods and may not always be listed individually.

Scent & Cleanliness: I run a smoke-free but not pet-free home studio, and I’m extremely particular about smell. I’ve turned down or culled fabrics that other secondhand fabric shops may have sold, including pieces I’ve bought elsewhere. If a fabric doesn’t meet my standards, it doesn’t make it into the shop.

Washing: Some fabrics are prewashed if they visibly need it. Others, especially quilting cotton, are left unwashed when possible to preserve their “quilt-ready” crispness.

📌 Note on Fabric Content:
Fiber content is determined to the best of my ability, often through burn testing. Unless explicitly stated, fiber content is not guaranteed.

If you're unsure about an item’s condition or composition, ask before purchasing. I’d rather you feel confident than disappointed.
